What to do about evil?

“You cannot create a statue by smashing the marble with a hammer, and you cannot, by force of arms, release the spirit or the soul of man” ~Confucius

We can prosecute hate or promote love.

Do we have enough energy to do both?

I find as a mom I have agonized over each:

Hating anything that threatened my bear cubs

while doing my best to fill the little ones with love.

What a delicate balance it is not to become the thing you hate..

We need a prominence of the opposite of what doesn’t work –

To light a candle instead of just cursing the darkness.
